Launch of the New Site
This marks the first achievement—the launch of my website. It's been in the works and now it's here.

November 11, 2009
I’ve been wanting to build my own blog for quite some time. Up until now, I’ve only had my online portfolio to showcase my work. Optimistically, by creating this blog I would be given the motivation to write more and gain a larger presence on the web.
I designed this site to act as a personal “achievement tracker”. Each post will be about a personal victory with a custom merit badge designed to show-off the achievement. The idea wasn’t to be taken seriously. My goal for the site was to not only help me write, but to also encourage me to creatively think of how to present my thoughts to anyone who is willing to read them.
As far as how this site was made, I chose to use ExpressionEngine to be the wizard behind the curtain. This content management system has constantly proven to be as flexible as I need it to be. I also decided to use sIFR to display Sentinel, an awesome typeface that I’ve been dying to work with.
If you’ve liked what you see, there is probably a good chance you’ll want to see more of what this site has in store. I invite you to follow me on twitter or subscribe to the feed.
Thanks for visiting!
Looks great! Again with the awesomeness! Two Thumbs Up & 3 1/2 stars, cause it doesn’t show that well on my phone. Love it.
Awesome Illustration icon… The design looks awesome!
Congratulations for your new site. It looks clear and simple.
I think your site is beautiful lookin!

Billy! This new design is tasty and fresh. Loving the subtle details in the textures, lines and shadows. The colors create a nice ambiance for the whole site.
Tracking your personal accomplishments online is pretty cool; it gives us (the audience) a chance to encourage you while learning about your process at the same time. And you look good doing it. Michael Scott would call this a win-win-win situation.
